Speakers Announced for 36th Annual I-Day

The I-Day Committee has planned another exciting agenda for the 36th Annual Central Missouri I-Day, to be held on Wednesday September 23, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration and Continental Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

A total of four CE Credits have been granted: Three general hours and one ethics hour have been approved. 

Some of the event speakers include:

Fred Travis, Director, RMI Program - Importance of Education in the Insurance Industry

Samuel Thurman Awarded Chapter Scholarship

Samuel Thurman, a senior at Battle High School, recieved the Central Missouri Chapter of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters Society's scholarship for his essay on skills needed for a career in the insurance industry.  Thurman plans to study pre-medicine in the fall.

The recognition of Samuel Thurman receiving the award was also featured in the Columbia Tribune.

 

Central Missouri Chapter Sponsors Breakfast at 2015 CPCU Society Leadership Summit

The Central Missouri CPCU Society Chapter co-sponsored a breakfast for all attendees at the 2015 CPCU Society Leadership Summit in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida held April 22 through 25. The Leadership Summit provides attendees the opportunity to further develop leadership skills and learn more about chapter operations and best practices. All four Central Missouri chapter officers were in attendance at the event; Secretary Shawn Knauts, President Lori Meyer, Vice President Monica Richey-Pfeiffer, and Treasurer Joe Jackson.
