Joe Bieniek, Vice President and Senior Consultant at First Consulting & Administration, provided an overview of the CPCU Society Interest Groups at the December Central Missouri CPCU Society chapter meeting. Bieniek talked about the Society's goals of Knowledge, Empowerment,and Engagement and emphasized how involvement in an interest group provides members the opportunity to network with other insurance professionals as well as access informational resources about specific topics within the insurance industry.
Bieniek talked about the many benefits he has gained by being an active participant in the Regulatory and Legislative Interest Group and encouraged all members to join an interest group. There are 14 Interest Groups to choose from, covering a variety of issues important to insurance professionals.
To join an interest group, login to the CPCU Society website. From the Society home page, first click the Interest Groups tab. When the Interest Groups page opens, click the "EDIT" button next to My Interest Groups.
