Dena Kartheiser and Matt Bronson speak at Gamma Iota Sigma meeting

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) is the Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science Fraternity at the University of Missouri. Two Shelter employees who are members of the Central Missouri CPCU Society Chapter spoke to GIS at their February 21, 2018 meeting. 

Dena Kartheiser (above) of Underwriting gave a presentation named Underwriting 101 and spoke about the role of an underwriter and what the day-to-day work of an underwriter entails. 

Matt Bronson (above) of Underwriting gave a presentation on Tips to Drive Value Out of Analytics, which demonstrated the importance of analyzing all data and how they relate to making business decisions. 

The students were engaged and asked several questions about the industry and Shelter Insurance.
