On February 18, 2014 Central Missouri CPCU Society member Andrea Stockman of Shelter Insurance traveled to Springfield, MO to visit with Gamma Iota Sigma members, and other students enrolled in the Risk Management program at Missouri State University.  There were close to 30 students in attendance when Andrea reviewed her background as an MSU student as well as her professional journey.

Topics included ways to enter the industry and how important it is to stay involved. Andrea focused on the generation gap, different careers available in the insurance industry, and advice on continuing education. Many students stopped by afterwards to ask for more information on internships and mentor programs.

"It was nice to see the students so interested in their future and willing to spend the extra time to learn more about the insurance industry." said Andrea.  "This was an enjoyable experience for me as an alumni of MSU, and I would like to see these programs grow in many more of our college campuses."

The chapter thanks Andrea for her work promoting Insurance as a career, and making this connection to Gamma Iota Sigma.
