The Reynolds Alumni Center on the University of Missouri campus was the location of the 36th Annual Central Missouri I-Day on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. In the morning, over 100 attendees heard the thought-provoking presentations of Dr. Rick Wakefield, who spoke on “The Affordable Care Act and Its Effect on the Property Casualty Insurance Industry” and Rich Wickliffe, who shared information regarding “The Invisible and Dangerous World of Insurance Fraud”.

Fred Travis, Director of the University’s Risk Management and Insurance Program assisted in coordinating the event and spoke to the relationship between education and the insurance industry. Steve Ferris, Interim Dean, Robert J. Trulaske Sr. College of Business at the University gave lunch remarks. National and Regional CPCU representatives, Jane Wahl, Society President and Chair, who gave a CPCU Society Update; and Dennis Holler, Governor, South Central Region, acknowledged our new designees.

In the afternoon, we welcomed John Huff, Director, Missouri Department of Insurance for the ever popular Insurance Update. We finished the day participating in a fun ethical presentation with Will Wooten and Paul Larimore, Training and Development Specialists from Shelter Insurance Companies and a heartfelt appearance by author and international motivational speaker Tom Krause. As in past years, the event was jointly hosted with the Insurance Professionals of Mid-Missouri.
