Central Missouri CPCU Society Chapter Committees
CANDIDATE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Candidate Development committee recruits qualified candidates for pursuit of the CPCU designation. The Committee contacts and provides support for those having completed portions of the CPCU coursework and encourages those who have temporarily interrupted their study to re-enroll. The support provided candidates can include determination of interest in and coordination of course tutoring and establishing mentor and mentee pairing.
The Education Committee coordinates the Chapter's High School and College Scholarships, promotes CPD certification, and other duties as directed by the Circle of Excellence objectives.
GOOD WORKS & NETWORKING COMMITTEE
The Good Works and Networking committee plans and coordinates a variety of networking service events to support charities throughout our community.
I-Day recognizes current CPCU designees and serves as an educational event for chapter members and the public. The Vice President serves as I-Day Committee Chair and coordinates the event with the local IAIP chapter, Insurance Professionals of Mid-Missouri. I-Day is currently held in the early fall and is planned for a full day.
The Membership committee strives to maintain contact with active members and re-establish contact with lapsed members. The committee conducts an annual membership survey.
NEW DESIGNEE COMMITTEE
The New Designee Committee makes personal contact with new designees on behalf of the Chapter to encourage involvement with the chapter and attendance of monthly Chapter meetings. The committee also organizes an annual luncheon to congratulate new designees and welcome them to the chapter.
The Program Committee plans and arranges locations and menus for the various Chapter monthly meetings from January through December. The Committee provides a variety of speakers and programs for the Chapter.
The Spread-the-Word committee encourages chapter members to promote the value of the CPCU designation to employers, businesses, consumers and the general community. The committee promotes awareness of the Central Missouri CPCU Society Chapter through periodic advertisements and business related articles of Chapter accomplishments and events. Advertising can include such things as congratulations to new designees, safety issues during holidays or fire prevention months or other topics as appropriate.
The Website committee maintains the Central Missouri CPCU Society Chapter website with current and relevant information.
YOUNG DRIVER COMMITTEE
The Young Driver committee promotes roadway safety for teens and parents through a program presented in conjunction with local safety and law personnel.
